| Answers |
| 1.Do I need to register? |
| 1.We don't want to make anyone register if they don't want to. However, we do need some basic information in order to serve you, our customer.
The information we request from our customer registration is just the minimum data we need in order to fulfill your order(s) or deliver services to you. Be sure to give us a phone number as well, this is just one of the ways we make sure no one is making an unauthorized transaction on your credit card. We respect your privacy, and we never share your information with a third party (see privacy link below for details).
In the future registered customers will be able to see their order history & become eligible for our future customer discount programs, drawings, give-aways, and contests. You may also choose whether to receive our weekly newsletter with the latest information and price updates.
Our "Quick Buy" link is a short registration that only asks for the most basic information. A link is then generated and sent to your email to validate that we have your correct email address. Click 'register now' for a normal registration, or click below for a shorter registration.

| 2.Why is my credit card rejected? |
2.There are many reasons why a credit card may be rejected. The first step is to make sure you have entered the correct information. Here are some checks you can do to validate you have entered the correct credit card information.
Make sure the address you input matches your credit card billing address. Please make sure your information is correct such as: the type of credit card, the card number, the three digit verification code on the back of your card, your phone number, country selected, and the spelling of your name. Once you are sure your information is correct, if you still have trouble getting our system to accept your card, please make sure that you have sufficient funds on your credit or debit card. You may also want to call your local bank to make sure they have not blocked your credit card or put a hold on your account.
After you verify that you input your correct information, and that your card is working with sufficient funds, you may contact us directly via live chat or another method (see our contact page). We will do our best to quickly find a solution to your problem.

| 3.Will you replace an item that disappeared? |
| 3.Although we want to replace any items that may disappear, we cannot. There is no accurate way to validate whether an item has truly been lost. As stated above, we will do our best to fully disclose whether an item is at a deletion risk (currently, only Diablo2 has these types of risks). As a customer using our services, rest assured we will be honest with you, and fully disclose the nature of an item to the fullest extent of our knowledge. JPitems.com offers some "Non Permed" items (Diablo2 only) that are potentially vulnerable to the dupe scan. These items are clearly marked because we like to keep our buyers informed. We have also discounted these items to offset the risk that they may disappear. Aside from this, there are steps you can take to prevent losses with non permed items. We are willing to walk you through these steps as well. |

| 4.How does the Diablo2 LOD dupescan work? (Diablo2 only) |
4.The anti-dupe scan, released in 1.06, is designed to detect and delete duplicate items to prevent the balance of the game from being compromised by non-legitimate items. The server gives ID tags to all items with a quality of magical or better when they are spawned. Magic, rare, crafted, jewels, runes, charms, sets, and uniques are all created with ID tags. The ID tag includes: date/time/where the item spawned, including what version of the game spawned it (1.06, 1.07, 1.08, 1.09, or 1.10). The tag is invisible to the client (you) and its data is never sent or received. These ID tags have always existed--however, the ID tags were not being actively checked for duplicates & being flagged for deletion until 1.06 and later.
There are many items which are immune to the dupescan: many items spawned before 1.08 and all Non Magical items are in this category. Any items with white or grey text are non magical, and are not checked by the dupescan (i.e. the fact that they are not checked makes them effectively immune). Most Pre 1.08 duped items are with incredible stats and low requirements also fall into this category: the Stone of Jordan, Imp Shanks, Wraith Spur, Raven Spirals, etc. Many of the duplicated items from 1.10 and earlier are immune to the dupescan. However, some duplicate items are vulnerable to deletion. The dupe scan checks items in the stash, on mercenaries, equipped items, as well as items on the ground. Vulnerable items are checked server side for duplicate item tags, and permanently deleted when a character attempts to leave the game with the offending item(s). The dupe scan will also detect and delete items with identical id tags if a character attempts to leave a game with 2 copies of a non permed item.
Essentially, the dupe scan detects duplicate items anywhere in a game and flags them for deletion. You can temporarily remove the deletion flag by opening, and quickly closing a trade screen with another player. It only takes a moment, and there is no need to move items around, or place them on the trade screen. You may have noticed that when you do move items around during a trade, they revert back to their previous position before the trade screen was opened. Effectively, opening a trade screen does a de-facto temporary save for your character on the battlenet server; this save also removes the deletion flags. It does this by adding a number temporarily to your item id code (and by removing any flags). However, be careful. After one player leaves, the dupe scan is activated again (bad items get new flags) and every item still left in the game is checked again. In effect, make sure you are the first person to leave the game after you open the trade screen and temporarily 'perm' your character. If you follow these steps, your duped items will be safe.
The above method does a 'temp perm', which can work on any dupe. However, the effect is not permanent. Generally speaking, you can never make a non perm item permanent. However, there's a few rare exceptions. One is, on ladder you can make non perm runes perm, by cubing them in your horadric cube (2x lower runes + a gem for high runes, see the Arreat Summit FAQ for an explanation on this). The new rune, created by the cube will be permanent.
Generally, this is completely unnecessary. However, it can be done as a precaution on ladder. At least, historically, on NON-ladder, any socketed rune or jewel will always be safe. However, on ladder there has been at least one rust storm per season, during most seasons (these are unpredictable and come without warning). Blizzard has run server-side checks (which operates completely different from the normal dupe scan). I remember logging into characters, finding 4 socket armor (which used to be Enigma) with nothing in the sockets! I left & rejoined the game & the empty 4 socket armor was gone too. Our stores entire ladder stock was completely wiped out, gone forever during these events (just duped gear). Our legit items remained untouched. |

| 5.Do you sell duplicate items that can disappear? |
5.All items we sell on all games except Diablo2 are legitimate with no risk of disappearing (although we do not take responsibility once the item is delivered because at that point it is out of our control). (Diablo2 only) We clearly mark known 'Non Permed' deletion risk items. e.g. Wizardspike Gloves. Generally, the items we sell are safe--they are legit /permed to the best of our knowledge. It is important to note that in 1.10 some of the charms circulating are 'Non Permed'. A percent of all of the following items in the D2 economy are non permed: 20/5 scs, 70/15scs, 290scs, 7/5scs, and 3/20/20scs. There is no way to know a permed item from a non permed one--they all look the same. As a precaution we recommend treating godly small charms as non permed items. Runes and Jewels are generally dupes, but most sites don't mention this because they are safe once they are in a socket.
Many of the duplicated items from 1.10 and earlier are immune to the dupescan. However, some duplicate items are vulnerable to deletion. The dupe scan checks items in the stash, on mercenaries, equipped items, as well as items on the ground. | 7.Can I make special requests for unlisted items? |
| 7.We do custom orders for our customers frequently. If you don't see item(s) you need listed on our site send an email detailing your request to service@jpitems.com. After careful consideration, we will send a reply explaining whether or not we can fill your request, whether it will take more than 24 hours, and what it will cost. | 8.How long will it take for me to get my order? |
| 8.You should receive your account information via email within a few hours of payment. Our goal is to deliver the item or currency within 1 hour, and if we take over 24 hours to deliver, then we will issue a bonus based on the game. For World of Warcraft Gold, EverQuest 2 Platinum, or Lineage 2 Adena, we will give you 5% more currency at no extra charge. For a Diablo 2 item purchase, we will give 25% more free (based on the size of the undelivered portion of your order). |

| 9.How do I receive my items or gold? |
| 9.After we verify your payment has cleared, we will most likely contact you via telephone to make sure you authorized the transaction. If we can't find a valid telephone number, we may be forced to refund your order. After we validate your identity, we will send you an email with a mule account name and password (Diablo2), or deliver your order in game (All Games). For Diablo2, be sure to pick up the item within 10 days or the account can disappear. For World of Warcraft be sure to pick up the mail in game within a few days as well (Blizzard does not guarantee items in your mailbox as safe, although once transfered to your character, the items/currency should be safe). For Diablo2, in an extreme situation, you can play the mule account for 2+ hours and then it will last longer than 10 days. Also, be sure not to accidentally block our emails by marking one as spam. For example, if you use AOL Email, then you need to allow email from all AOL members and only from the listed Internet domains and addresses then add JPitems.com to the list of Internet domains from which you will accept email. |
